Sharon Edwards

I was born and raised in heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  For as long as I can remember, music has always been a vital part of my life.  I believe one of the greatest gifts a person can give is the emotions expressed through music.  As I sit down to write or compose a song, my hope and desire is for others to be encouraged, uplifted and inspired.

At age four, my journey began by singing along side my parents at churches and nursing homes across Southwest Virginia.  By age five, I was playing piano and dreaming of becoming a “star”.  The “2008 Star of the Blue Ridge” competition made that dream come true.

Through the continued encouragement from my husband and two beautiful children, and the lifelong support from my parents and many others, I continue to live my dream of singing, writing and playing music.  As an active member at my church, I enjoy serving as the Praise and Worship Leader as well as my husband and I together leading the Teen Ministry.  I pray wherever I am, my music uplifts the broken-hearted, brings joy back into someone’s life and energizes someone’s spirit.  Always sing from the heart and soul!
